PETROSOL sponsored the Ghana Biennial International Summit and Exhibition (GH-BISE) 2026, where CEO Michael Bozumbil shared insights on how deregulation has shaped Ghana's petroleum industry and what it takes to keep the sector sustainable.

PETROSOL was proud to sponsor the Ghana Biennial International Summit and Exhibition (GH-BISE) 2026, hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers International Ghana under the theme “Sustainable Energy for Africa: Powering Growth, Innovation and Inclusion.”

The summit brought together key stakeholders, industry experts, policymakers and professionals from across the energy value chain to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for building a more resilient, innovative and inclusive energy future for Africa.

Deregulation's Dividends

As part of the program, PETROSOL CEO Michael Bozumbil participated as a featured speaker, contributing to discussions on the impact of deregulation on Ghana's petroleum industry. He highlighted how deregulation has stimulated economic growth and strengthened the sector by promoting active importation, efficient distribution, competitive pricing and increased participation.

An Honest Look at the Pressures

He also noted that, despite these benefits, deregulation has created profitability challenges for many Oil Marketing Companies through intensified competition and pricing pressures. His contribution reinforced the need for greater collaboration, innovation, efficiency and strategic interventions to secure the long-term sustainability of businesses within the petroleum sector.

PETROSOL remains committed to supporting platforms that promote knowledge-sharing, stakeholder collaboration and the development of sustainable energy solutions for Africa.
